🎬 Supported Codecs
MPEG-2, VC-1 (WMV), some MPEG-4, H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, VP8, VP9, AV1. NVDEC cannot hardware-accelerate every video codec or every video format / profile.
NVDEC-Play 1.0 key and mouse controls.
| Key | Function |
|---|---|
| AUDIO --- m | Pressing m toggles audio mute on or off during playback at any time with one keystroke. |
| FRAME --- COMMA | Comma moves backward by one video frame and pauses playback when you press it. |
| FRAME --- POINT | The period key advances the video by one frame, then pauses playback during playback. |
| PAUSE --- SPACE | Toggles playback between playing and pausing. You can also right-click to do the same.. |
| FULLSCREEN --- f | Toggles fullscreen. You can also click the left mouse button to do the same. |
| QUIT --- q ESC CLOSE_WIN | Quits NVDEC-Play. You can press q, Esc, or click the X button on the window. |
| SEEK --- LEFT ARROW | Seeks backward by 5 seconds when you press the key or scroll the mouse wheel upward. |
| SEEK --- RIGHT ARROW | Seeks forward by 5 seconds when you press the key or scroll the mouse wheel downward. |
| A-B LOOP --- l | Set the loop start (A), set the loop end (B), or clear the A–B loop if you press it again. |
| INFO --- i | Displays video information for 5 seconds. Checks hardware decoding; nvdec is NVIDIA’s video decoder. |
| INFO --- o | Shows the current time, total duration, playback position, and other playback information. |
| SCREENSHOT --- s | Take a screenshot at the original video resolution without subtitles. |
| VIDEO --- 1 2 | Increase or decrease brightness. |
| VIDEO --- 3 4 | Increase or decrease contrast. |
| VIDEO --- 5 6 | Increase or decrease saturation. |
| VIDEO --- 7 8 | Increase or decrease gamma. |
| VIDEO --- r | Reset all adjustments: brightness, contrast, saturation, gamma. |
